We just wrapped up another stellar school year of EduSkate After School Program. This marks twelve years of offering one the most unique and impactful after school programs for youth in San Francisco. Our goals at EduSkate are to create youth-led community, to offer safe and inspiring space for youth to gather, and to empower these young people with as many creative, academic, and social resources as we can. We are blessed to witness another cohort of youth grow through their triumphs and challenges together this year.
To celebrate students who completed 5th and 8th grade this year, we hosted a party in our backyard with live music from youth punk band, The Screaming Teeth, and a skate jam on our newly renovated mini ramp.
Congrats to all of our program graduates!

What else have we been up to? Well, we've had almost too much fun to even remember it all. That's a good problem to have, right?
We received an exhibition tour from Ted Barrow, the curator of Skateboarding in San Francisco at the SFPL; got creative for 5 weeks at the Haight Street Art Center and learned each step of the screen printing process; had a visit at SFSC and DJ demo from legendary turntablist DJ Quest; finished the school year strong with a final exams study party; collaged our hearts out to complete our pages for the EduSkate yearbook; attended opening day at Sunset Dunes, hosted 20 students from McKinley Elementary each week in April and May with ASEP, took a field trip to Pacifica Skate Park to celebrate the end of the year, and brought our resident expert finger boarders and skaters to Carnaval to cohost a skate jam with SF Rec and Park.
